Role and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of professionals involved in providing CH147F helicopter training in the DND Training Centre at CFB Petawawa
Provide all aspects of training support including flight simulator and classroom instruction, courseware support, database change review, scenario and lesson plan changes, configuration management and assist in standardization
This person will work closely with maintenance support and other training centre support to DND
Candidate will have tactical knowledge and knowledge of customer SOPs
Will respond to the 450 Squadron instructional management staff in their support role and provide student training to meet CF needs for the required standard established by the CF
Will ensure that they are aligned with the needs of the 450 Squadron Officer Commanding Operational Training Flight (OC OTF) for all matters related to instruction of CF CH147F students.

Qualifications:

Graduate of military flight training program as a Flight Engineer with the Canadian Forces or a NATO nation
Preference given to former military Flight Engineer on Chinook helicopters with a NATO nation,
Consideration for very experienced Tactical Helicopter Flight Engineer with a minimum of 1000 flight hours.
100 or more hours night vision goggle (NVG) experience (former military qualification).
Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Flight Instructor Course (FIC) or equivalent.
Experience using synthetic training devices during flight engineer training and instructional time preferable.
HPMA/CRM training.
Computer literate.
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
Candidate must be capable of obtaining a Canadian Level II NATO Secret Security Clearance & Controlled Good Clearance (mandatory).
Permitted to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen, a Permanent Resident or with a valid Work Permit (mandatory).

Le candidat retenu se joindra à une équipe de professionnels qui s’applique à fournir une formation sur l’hélicoptère CH147F au centre de formation du MDN, à la BFC Petawawa.
S’occuper de tous les aspects du soutien à la formation, y compris l’instruction en simulateur de vol et en classe, le soutien aux didacticiels, l’examen des modifications aux bases de données, les changements aux scénarios et aux plans de leçon, la gestion de la configuration et l’aide à la normalisation.
Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe de soutien liée à la maintenance, ainsi qu’avec l’équipe de soutien au centre de formation du MDN;
Le candidat doit avoir une connaissance tactique et générale des procédures d’exploitation normalisées du client.
Appuyer les employés chargés de la gestion de la formation du 450e Escadron dans leur rôle de soutien, et s’assurer que la formation aux étudiants répond aux besoins des Forces canadiennes conformément à la norme établie;
On s’assurera qu’ils tiennent compte des besoins du commandant de l’unité d’instruction opérationnelle du 450e escadron pour tout ce qui concerne les consignes liées aux étudiants du CH147F pour les FC.
